Balicasag and Pamilican are small islands located off the coast of Panglao, Bohol. They are the top must-see destinations when visiting this part of the Philippines for scuba divers.
Both are protected marine park areas that only allow a limited amount of divers each day to help protect the beautiful biodiversity you’ll find underwater.
The blue waters surrounding the islands are filled with lush, colorful marine life, big barracudas, giant turtles, jackfish and as well as many other species of marine life. Those who love the small critters will love exploring between the rock formations to find plenty of unique nudi’s, shrimp, crabs, and more.
Sometimes if you’re lucky and you got good eyes, you’ll see beautiful giants like whale sharks passing by as well. If you’re not lucky, please don’t hold onto hope.
The islands are both amazing spots for any level scuba diver as you’ll find something for everyone.

We have two partners that run the day trips on Bohol.
One is located at the top end of Alona in Kalipayan Beach.

Both are boutique 5-star dive centers. We wouldn’t send you to anything less than the best.

Balicasag Island vs Pamilican Island
Both islands are the top scuba diving spots to visit while you are in Panglao/Bohol. Most people know the name of Balicasag but Pamilican is just as beautiful but just lesser known which means it is usually less busy. Pamilican has the same stunning wall formations and slopping reef filled with tiny marine life and giant turtles, schools of jackfish, barracuda and much more for scuba divers to explore.
Both dive sites are protected marine park areas that limit the amount of daily visitors so they are both well protected. We would say go to both but if you can only choose one, you can’t go wrong with either and that’s just the truth!

What an amazing trip. We did three dives in the day and had so much to eat on the boat as well. Our guide had some of the best eyes ever. We told him we love seeing small stuff and he delivered! Can’t wait to be back.
Never seen turtles so big in my life! Thanks to entire team from the chat staff who were always so quick to the boat crew who were there to help with anything all day. Book with them and you won’t be disappointed.
The GoDiving team helped us do a few days of diving and we got to see Pamilican and Balicasag and both were amazing. Pamilican was so quiet and we got all the schools of fish to ourselves. Thanks for everything!
Loved dealing with GoDiving. Amir and the team all helped me figure out the best plan for multiple dive days for my wife and I. The schedule worked out so well and we loved the dive center and the team. Thank you!
We got the exact date for the trip we wanted and got to see Pamilican Island. Glad we listened to the GoDiving team because Pamilican Island was amazing and shouldn’t be missed. We were one of two boats at the island!
Great chat support and great booking experience overall. And then the dive day itself was absolutely amazing. Best part was the wicked BBQ lunch the team made on the boat. Did not expect to have such good food on a day trip.
